JOY CATAPANG arrived last Wednesday for her NY vacation. Awesome, kasi her trip was paid by her company, and she just tweeked the itinerary to her discretion para makavacation sya. Ika nga ni et, jet-setter tlga since she's like back and forth to different states.
And so we met up after work hours in St. Marks. I arrived late, as usual, and found the two having sangria at a nearby outdoor bar. We passed time there while waiting for Rob and Angel and Hannah.
We had dinner in Kenka's. Et and i have been there before, and it seemed good then, kasi we had hot pot. Ngayon, a la carte and it was
Aughghh! Echkk! Puwehh!
It was a major bummer. I had like the simplest jap dish too - Oyakodon, and it bombed. No flavor, no meat, blah eggs. However, ok nman yung takoyaki kasi it had these flakes on it na super i like.
Buti nalang, the cotton candy machine made up for the bad food. I had no idea how to operate it and i just poured the powder on the outer bin, dapat pala sa loob!
After dinner, we hung out at Starbucks down the block. That's what i like about the city, everything you need and want is just around the corner. Pero minsan , OA na, like this area had two Starbucks in one block. But that's nothing compared to the four intersections of Manhattan with a Starbucks on every side!
Et left early. So angel, Joy, and i chatted away till her sundo, Joel, came.
Friday, we see Joy again!
