When relationships end
Maybe you saw it coming.
Maybe you didn't.
When romantic relationships end, we find our friends showering us with tons of advices.
He's not meant for you.
This if for the best.
All sorts.
And hard part is, it isn't really clear that an ending has actually occured.
It's a lousy situation to be in. Especially if only one of you is noticing this.
And then, the worst possible news for this month came. My great amazing loving friend Cha might move to Australia a month before i go for a vacation in Ph. I'm really happy for her and rye. This has been a plan since we were in college, talking about where we were going to settle eventually. In retrospect, these types of converstaions formed our friendship which has become one of the things I prize the most.
For whatever the reason, though, I'm certain many of us share the reality that our friends and families are far away. Not all of us, of course. But many. And all of us, regardless, face that same pull between the open road and the reunion, between getting far away and being with people who we know well, and who know us well.
The friends who I've stayed with are the sorts of relationships where a year or more can go by and when you see them again, it's like old times. The sort of people who do not expect me to write or call on a regular basis, and, mostly, the sort who don't do that themselves either. I don't have a host of close friends - just six or seven people in Manila. That's what works for me, most of the time, and I know myself well enough to know I'm not going to change.
And even though I've got acquaintances and friendships here, I sometimes get lonely. And the temptation is to blame that loneliness on the distance, deep down thinking that had my friends been here, things would've been so different.

Clover & Shiloh Unite

AAFCO - Corn Gluten Meal is the dried residue from corn after the removal of the larger part of the starch and germ, and the separation of the bran by the process employed in the wet milling manufacture of corn starch or syrup, or by enzymatic treatment of the endosperm.
Solid Gold premium dog food states that it is: "Added to pet food to slow down the transition of rancid animal fats (think toxic waste). This holds the waste in. Kidneys and liver work overtime. Dogs may chew their lower backs. Feet may swell, so the dogs lick their feet. Corn is thought to be the #3 common cause of food allergies in dogs.
I just had to put that in as a personal note to myself (and other dog-food-obessed-on-their-pet's-health readers). This is like the worst ingredient in kibbles you could feed your pup. Yeah, it's carbohydrates, but it's difficult for dogs to digest.
Clover went to the vet today in Northern, since she's been coughing for a week now. The vet had this device wherein he checks the ear for wax and ear mites and Et and i got to see it on the tv. Coolness. In the end, we found it it wasn't very cool since that activity alone cost $20 (and it lasted for 2 minutes). Overall, ET paid for $170 and she never even understood what Clover's disease was (Vet had heavy spanish accent).
Tina's been using ear drops on Clover called Tresaderm. 15ml for $25... After a short research, i found one on the web for $13! I hate that animal clinic.
What a scam.

What, i ask you , do men think they are going to accomplish by hooting, whistling or making obscene gestures at women on the street??
Do they expect us to stop, turn and swoon!?

FUCKIN DREAM ON ASSHOLES!!!!
Not only are they gross and obscene, in ALL cases they are ugly too. yuck. vom.
So, i went out to dinner around 830pm with my friends today and needless to say i was not lookin too cute. yes, i changed my office clothes to a pair of shorts, but my top remained the same: an ivory long sleeved cardigan. sexy, eh?? Anyway so, et and i were outside the restaurant yantering. Out of the blue, this miniature-sweaty-most-probably-illegal mexican kitchen worker passes by AND HEAVILY FEELS MY ASS.
This is my very first experience with sexual harassment. I'm not going to count the high school mems where boys would try to sit on the blackboard platform and peek into the ladies' skirts. Or the time where this guy named Owen found a hole thru the classroom where us girls would change into our P.E. uniforms, and peek and drool over our adolescent moonbits in traing bras (he got what he deserved: EXPULSION!). No, those are not counted.
See, there are so many circumstances of subtle harrassments here in NY. Like, there was this one nasty skinny tall guy walking close to me, stopped and said something that im sure is inapropriate but luckily i had my ipod on loud so i couldn't hear him. normally i try to just ignore this shit, but there are guys that are so relentless!! he'd keep looking at me with his nasty fuck me eyes and saying nasty stuff.
Then, there are a LOT of cases where some fat bald guy in a truck slows down and then stops in traffic to call me baby and ask if i wanted to join him!! HE STOPS TRAFFIC! fucking idiot!! so, i would flip him the bird.
There are also some trucks driving around the little greasy man inside would give a hollar, but he'd keep going so i couldnt flip him anything....oh well, you cant win em all.
So let me carry on about the one by the restaurant.
I was such in disbelief, i nervously tell ET to call 911. The man wasn't even running or anything! He actually gave me a long dirty look and stuck his tongue out before he continued walking away. I calmly told the operator my emergency, and where the guy was headed. Not wanting for the cops to lose him, Et and i start following him (we're not stupid, we weren't going to wrestle him down!). He makes a left somewhere, ET and i start running to catch up (man had a 1/4 mile head start). He caught a glimpse of Et and me chasing him, and made another turn, and tha'ts when i called the very sluggish 911 to tell them the updates.
Guess what, police were never to be seen. And et and i waited for them for awhile to see if they'd actually drop in!
These things don't occur only to me. Et had a problem too where some sunog guy leans over her while ishe was somewhere in Manhattan, im talking like 2 inches from her face and makes like a breathing noise! right in her face! she was so terrified she RAN away.
i am so furious.
why, i ask you, did he think that this would be even romotely ok? WHY!?!? it is sickening. all of this shit happened when i was about to eat my favorite dish too....maybe those nasty men smell your good mood or something.
And the worst thing of all is that in ny, this is a regular thing that women have to endure....fucking perverts.

Shiloh Pit
Why i love Shiloh Pit:

5. Wild rolls in the grass (too bad we have a little on the backyard)

7. She goes SILLY with joy when i het home.

9. She can walk herself, leash in mouth
10. Nose that nuzzle
11. She gets so excited she squirts a little pee (that's funny!)

I love Desperate Housewives and try to watch it faithfully every Sunday at 9pm. My favorite of the four is Lynette, the career woman who gave it all up for her kids, who are real troublemakers. I think she is someone that you could actually meet. I find Bree hilarious, Gabrielle's life super entertaining (Carlos I want you) and Susan is sweet but a bit babyish and annoying sometimes.

Six Flags
Six Flags!
Last time I went here was two years ago, with Kuya, Jenna, Dave, and Tito Mike.
I'm BaCk!
We planned on leaving at 9am, but being a mere lazy couple, we left at 130pm. It wasn't so bad, because we got there 330 pm despite being jostled with heavy traffic on the turnpike. We had to leave Shiloh home, which was a HUGE mistake because we found out that Six Flags offers free boarding of pets, wittingly called: Park-a-Pet. Because my boyfriend has a higher level of laziness hormones than I do, he insisted we get a locker inside Six Flags, even if the car was a few footsteps from the location of the lockers.
This was kind of freaky. There was even a blonde lady with them hanging out with these tigers!
KINGDA-KA breaks all world records for roller coaster speed and height, becoming the tallest and fastest roller coaster on Earth. This jaw-dropping thrill ride launches riders from 0 to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds before catapulting them 456 feet (45 stories) into the sky!

Hawaiian Park
I haven't spoken to my family for quite some time now. There are moments when i wish we, four, had a better relationship, but then again, who in their right mature mind believes that life turns out as they want it?
This friday was unusually hectic for my non-existent social life. David Roman (MY David Roman's cousin) invited me and Dave to a hawaiian party in Brooklyn and ET, Angel, and I mad plans to meet with Anj in the city. YES, another visitor. Keep on coming colleagues!
Four of us went to Park in 17th St. bet 10th and 11th Avenue. It wasn't very crowded, although parking was immensely irritating. It was my first time there, and it wasn't half bad. An indoor park, as the bar/resto's name proclaims.

It was my first time there, and it wasn't half bad. An indoor park, as the bar/resto's name proclaims.
