Car shopping

  • It's cool to know that online petitions DO work. I was one of the proud Filipinos to sign the petition demanding a recantation from ABC's Desperate Housewives.
We got it!
(I have in my lap the Oct 22 Us Weekly issue, and there's a half page article about "Teri's Filipino Faux Pas")
  • My brother used to be a very modest, cordial man. Since he started making some bucks, he's forgotten the word R-ES-PECT.
I went car shopping with my mom and brother in Queens, Manhattan, and Westchester. Granted, car salesmen have dollar signs plastered on their eyeballs, but a person's behavior towards you should not be the basis on how you should treat them back. Too embarrassing how he acted today that I'd rather not mention what went on.
I'm not perfect myself, hence my rationale to distance myself on people who treat people like pigs.
There's definitely a fine line between classy and gaudy. It's very sad to see such an abrupt transformation from someone you knew from way back.
  • CURRENT TV ADDICTIONS: Top Chef (You totally deserved to win Hyung Huynh!), What not to Wear, Gossip Girl, The Hills (Heidi, you gross me out in every way), The Goslins, Little People Big World, Marimar in YouTube, Desperate Housewives, The Cosby Show reruns, The Wonder Years in Ion channel, and can't wait for Project Runway!
  • Dave is in Reno with Jimmy for Sandy's wedding (thanks in a big part to ThankYouNetwork for the $300 savings). I miss him loads, but see, in a way, it's refreshing to know in your heart that you can trust your man to be with his friends. And Dave deserves to relax and have fun because he's been working hard, and in this small 3-day vacation, I'm sure he'll have lots of laughs (and beers) with his buddies.
  • I have been out of capris 1 day, 9 hours, 13 minutes. YEY!
You have smoked roughly 8,760 cigarettes!
Smoking cigarettes costs you $22.40 per week, $97.33 per month, and $1,168.00 per year.
Based on the national average of cigarettes smoked and the average seven years of life lost due to smoking, smokers lose 5 1/2 minutes of life per cigarette smoked. At this rate, your life may be shortened by as much as 268 hours per year by smoking 8 cigarettes a day.
This works out to 11.15 days lost per year.
Over the last years, you may have already shortened your life by 33.46 days!
If you continue smoking you will smoke 2,920 cigarettes over the next year, 14,600 cigarettes over the next five years, and 29,200 cigarettes over the next 10 years. Don't forget that each of these cigarettes decreases your lifespan too!

  • I am in love with the Scion xB. I can't wait to graduate on March!
